CITY OF MIAMI - REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP)*
CBRE, Inc. has been engaged by the City of Miami to act as its exclusive agent for the lease of prime waterfront property located in Virginia Key, Florida. The City of Miami invites interested parties to submit proposals for the potential lease. The goal of the City's RFP is to create a vibrant recreational marina and restaurant destination with a ship's store and other ancillary facilities for City residents and tourists alike.

PROJECT OPPORTUNITY

Through the City of Miami’s RFP, interested parties will be provided the opportunity to plan, redesign, and redevelop, lease, manage and operate a mixed-use waterfront facility including, but not limited to, a new unified marina, dock master’s office, ship’s store, dry storage, wet slip docks, and at least one restaurant. 

MASTER PLAN & PROJECT VISION

Development capacity and program for the subject site are regulated by the City of Miami Comprehensive Neighborhood Plan and the Miami 21 Zoning Code. In addition, a Virginia Key Master Plan has been adopted in principle by the Miami City Commission that sets forth a global development vision for the area.

Proposals must be received by no later than the following date and time. The City of Miami will not consider late, incorrectly delivered, or incomplete proposals.

The City shall not accept any proposals after this stated deadline or at any other City office location other than the Office of the City Clerk. Proposals must be market RFP Proposal for VIRGINIA KEY MARINA RFP NO. 16-17-011 and addressed to the attention of Todd Hannon, City Clerk.

CONE OF SILENCE

Pursuant to Section 18-74 of the City Code, all Solicitations, once advertised and until an award recommendation has been forwarded to the appropriate authority, are under the "Cone of Silence". Any communication or inquiries, except for clarification of process or procedure already contained in the Solicitation, are to be made in writing to the attention of the Project Manager identified in the Solicitation with a copy to Lee Ann Korst and sent to the City Clerk.
